Ways to keep those skills sharp over the summer:

Summer Choice Boards: Practice skills by using the summer choice boards with math and literacy activities that were sent home. Keep on reading!

Iready Math and Reading is available for students to use until mid August. At that time new classlists are formed on Iready and they will no longer be able to log on with kindergarten account.

IXL: Practice reading and math skills

Starfall: One of our favorite websites at school was Starfall.com. This site offers wonderful practice with math and reading skills.

Summer Reading Assignment ( Information was sent home and can be found on the school website)

AH Town Library: Visit the town library and join the Summer Reading Program

Writing practice: Student will be bringing home their Fundations Journals. Each week in the summer encourage them to write in their journals about things they are doing and draw a picture. Remind them to use a capital letter to start,  finger spaces and punctuation.

Be Mrs. Corey’s Penpal: Another fun way to keep them writing over the summer is to be my penpal. Have your student write me a letter or send a postcard. Have them write about what they are doing this summer. I will always write back each time they write to me.  Email me if you need my address.
